COMPLETE SKYRIM FISHING GUIDE: ANGLER AQUAINTANCES & VIRIYA’S FISHING BOUNTIES
This is the first section of the Skyrim fishing guide. It also includes Angler Acquaintances and Viriya’s Fishing Bounties. Viriya is responsible for fishing bounties in Skyrim. She also has a questline. This map will help you find the right fish. When searching for a particular fish, there are four primary considerations: where it can best be caught, what rod you should use, rarity, and what conditions it can be caught.
ANGLER ACQUAINTANCES
This quest begins once the player has caught something with a fishing rod at a fishery spot. The quest directs the player towards the Riften Fishery, where Viriya and Swims-In-Deep-Water will be contacted. The Riften Fishery can be found on the west side of the city walls, at the docks. Each questline is different for Swims-In-Deep-Water and Viriya. I recommend doing Viriya’s first because to receive Swims-In-Deep-Water’s quests. One must have advanced to a certain point in Viriya’s questline. Each questline can be completed in the order she is completed if Viriya’s is completed first.
VIRIYA’S FISHING BOUNTIES
This questline consists of some fishing-related job posts around Skyrim. Ask Viriya for information about fishing jobs. You will receive a note from Viriya with instructions. The quest will then begin. After completing each quest, return to her at the docks by the Riften Fishy to receive the next.
IN A PINCH
Her first bounty is a listing. Viriya is obsessed with Mudcrabs and asks the player to find a Juvenile Mudcrab to study. The quest marker will direct the player to the Fossilized Giant Mudcrab, southeast Gjukar’s Monument. You can also find them along the shores of Skyrim. Many Juvenile Mudcrabs can be found just west of Movarth’s Lair.

CLEAR-HEADED
The alchemist Zaria in Falkreath requests a Glassfish. In fair weather, they are often caught in lakes or ponds. Lake Ilinalta or the pond near Stony Creek Cave make excellent spots. Zaria will be given another objective if the player has delivered a Glassfish. To give a fake bottle skooma, the player must visit the Falkreath Barracks. The guard will take the fake bottle of skooma to the basement, where they will drink it and become invisible. After witnessing the incident, the player must return to Zaria to complete the quest.
HEART OF Gold
Mila Valentia would like a pet Goldfish. These fish are suitable for all weather conditions, with ponds the best places to find them. The rare catch of a Goldfish is challenging to find. If you want to catch one with a fishing rod and increase your chances of catching one, wait until dawn or dusk. They are found in a few ponds, including those located outside of Stony creek Cave, Mara’s Eye Pond and Fort Neugrad. The player must accompany Mila after delivering the Goldfish to complete the quest.

TWO OF A KIND
A courier will eventually deliver a letter from Mila asking to get a second Goldfish. When a second letter is received, Mila will give the player access to her secret treasure. It is located in the Cloud District, along with Dragonsreach.
NO CONTEST
A man called Brutus challenges other anglers to fish with him. After meeting him in Morthal, he will direct you to a fishing spot east of Morthal. The hostile man then joins two bandits to ambush the player. The player will then find a journal about Brutus, stating that he had lost a valuable ring in water. The objective is to catch it up. The ring will be presented to the player after one has caught a few fish. The quest will end once the ring has been fished up.
