FFXIV’s Starlight Celebration begins soon, and you get a cute Yeti Minion
Final Fantasy XIV celebrates holidays each year with an in-game seasonal celebration called the Starlight Celebration. The Starlight Celebration is as festive as any holiday, with Christmas decorations all around the city, cool items to be earned, and a questline that has a heartwarming story. The Starlight Celebration will begin December 16, at 12 AM PT (midnight), and continue until December 31, at 7 AM PST.
You will need to speak to the NPC Amh Garanjy located at Mih Khetto’s Amphitheatre to participate in the festivities. She is the annual Starlight Celebration quest-giver, and will start the festivities for you with “A Very Yeti Starlight”. Players must be at least 15 levels. The story is about Rudy, a little yeti who is trying to find his rescuer. He’s having trouble finding the courage to do so. Rudy can be brightened by the Warrior of Light.
Quest rewards this year for Starlight Celebration include the Wind-up Rudy and Squirrel Emperor minions, who are both dressed up for the holidays. Starlight Mobile, a wall-mounted rack that can hold a few glowing ornaments, is a new home furnishing product. Below are all three products.
The Starlight Celebration featured written letters from some of the most important characters of the FFXIVuniverse, which was the best part of the event. You could also play the role of the conductor in a rhythm game. The story from last year was about a father and son reunited at a choir concert. I wonder what the story is for Rudy and me this year. Keep an eye out for additional events in and around Mih Khetto’s Amphitheatre to celebrate the festivities.
