Blizzard Announces A New Survival Game They Are Still Calling Unannounced

Blizzard Entertainment tweeted today, seemingly out of nowhere, an announcement about a new survival game in a brand-new Blizzard universe. They are still calling it Unannounced Survival Game. Blizzard doesn’t follow workplace sexual harassment guidelines and doesn’t know what words mean.

The blog post states that the game will be available on PC and consoles. It is also noted that it is not tied with any existing games. This is an entirely new world, so those who openly speculate about a survival game in Warcraft and Starcraft are not quite right.

This announcement was made to encourage recruitment for Blizzard. The company is looking for immediate roles in engineering, art, and design. This could indicate that it is a significant title or that there has been a rapid turnover due to policy conflicts and ongoing hostile workplace charges over the past few years. Or both, if we’re being generous.

Blizzard also wants to complete their integration under Microsoft before summer 2023. This means that this game will likely be developed and released under their control. Although this was known before the public announcement, it is reasonable to assume that Blizzard has been anticipating what games might be successful on a Game Pass-style arrangement.

Remember, Activision Blizzard needs to be cleaned before we can start thinking of ways to benefit from a clean house.
