Sony unveils the PlayStation VR2’s Official Designs.

Sony has shown the controllers and the specs. Even a few games from the PlayStation VR2 set will be coming to the PlayStation 5. All other than the actual thing that you will put on your face. THE COMPANY HAS REVEALED the VR headset design today, and it looks very sleek.

This headset was part of a PlayStation blog post. The one Sony is showing retains the black-and-white theme of the PlayStation 5. The blog states that Sony wanted the headset to be pleasing to the eye when it is not on your face. However, it was also designed to be comfortable for people with large and small heads. The original PlayStation VR headset was light and comfortable, so this version has been improved. The new features include a lens adjustment dial that optimizes your view and a vent inside the headset that allows air to flow freely rather than becoming stuffy and gross. Yujin Morisawa (Senior Art Director at Sony) explained why the PlayStation VR2 headset was necessary.

“When I began to work on the PlayStation VR2 headset design, one of my first priorities was to create a vent in it to let air out. This is similar to the vents on the PS5 console which allow airflow. This idea was suggested by our engineers as a way to provide ventilation and prevent the lens from fogging up while VR gamers are playing. This was a difficult task to accomplish. I tried many designs and the final design shows that there is an area between the front and top of the scope that houses the integrated ventilation. This project turned out great and I’m very happy with the positive feedback that I’ve received. I hope that PlayStation fans will agree with me, and I cannot wait to see them try it.

Although PlayStation VR2 doesn’t yet have a release window for the device, what Sony has confirmed seems like a giant leap from the original headset. We are happy for you to enjoy virtual reality without becoming motion sick. That’s because that’s not me.
