Capcom Street Fighter 6 is in development

The Countdown website, which appeared in February 2022, has reached zero and officially announced that Street Fighter 6 is currently in development.

The link to direct viewers to a countdown timer will now redirect you to Street Fighter’s official website. Street Fighter 6 news dominates the homepage. The introduction of a new character in Street Fighter V’s mainline follows the introduction of Luke, the last playable Street Fighter V fighter. This was almost immediately followed by a lot of speculation about Street Fighter 6. Luke is one of the two characters featured in the fantastic, hyper-realistic trailer for Street Fighter 6.

Street Fighter 6: What can you expect?

It remains to be seen if the game will look as realistic as the trailer, but it is possible to hope. Fans are feeling very close to KO thanks to the fantastic makeovers of Ryu and Luke. We have 40 seconds of footage, but we promise more news in Summer 2022.

Street Fighter 6 is sure to have some certainty. Street Fighter 6 will see the return of classic characters, for example. We already know from the trailer that Street Fighter V’s newcomer Luke will join the legendary Ryu. Expect to see long-term fighters such as Chun-Li and Dan returning, Guile, Akuma, and Guile.

Street Fighter 6’s release date is unknown. Street Fighter V was released in February 2016. Could we expect a February 2023 release? The Street Fighter V trailer was released in December 2014, less than a year before the game’s release. It might not seem unreasonable to expect a year between the announcement and its release.

Street Fighter fans will also be happy to learn of another Capcom crossover in the form of three new AEW x Street Fighter action figures celebrating The Elite.
