Players Say: “Halo: Infinite” Season Two takes away all the fun of the campaign
I really feel sorry for the 343 Industries folks. They seem to be doing their best to provide the best Halo experience possible for players. They are having a terrible time, but it’s an A for effort.
It’s difficult to know where to start when there have been so many problems. Halo Infinite was released without a co-op campaign. To everyone’s dismay, it has yet to receive one. The player base was at an all-time low on Steam Database. Season 2 was also deemed too short and too late even before its release.
The second season is here, but developers and players are already recognizing the shortcomings of the new offering. Many players are suffering from weapon jamming, as well as bugs and fixes to common exploits.
Head of creative Joseph Staten posted to Twitter to tell us that this week had been “bumpy.” This was not our goal. We do appreciate your feedback, especially in regards to speed running and map jumps.
This update effectively removed many well-known glitches that players used to speed runs. Fans have expressed their dismay at the announcement by 343 Industries.
Mint Blitz, YouTuber, said: “Everything that was enjoyable about the campaign that I was excited for when co-op launches later in this year?” Gone. […] No one asked for this or any of the changes.”
This is not all bad news. Although players seem to enjoy the new maps and multiplayer modes, it’s possible that they may not be enjoying them enough. coop is still several months away so Halo Infinite can’t really afford another “bumpy” season.
