This is a very exciting prospect. A new job posting suggests that another Need For Speed open-world game will be released.

There’s a lot to do if you like racing games in the coming months. Sony’s Gran Turismo movie, featuring David Harbour, Orlando Bloom and Geri Horner is scheduled to be released on 11 August. Ubisoft will release the Crew Motorfest on 14 September. Forza fans? It’s no problem. Forza Motorsport will also be released on 10th October, but it is expected to arrive slightly after The Crew Motorfest. We love hearing that Xbox Game Pass will be released on the first day. We also know what’s coming next in for Need For Speed thanks to a job posting.

Fans of Need For Speed are eager to find out what happens next. has been reported that EA is working with Criterion on an open-world game. Criterion is currently searching for a “World Artist” to help them take Need For Speed’s franchise “to the Next Level”. According to the listing, this individual will take part in “an exciting endeavor to create an Open World.”

According to the job description, “With our proud history of working on popular franchises such as Battlefield, Star Wars Battlefront, and Burnout we are now challenging conventions in the racing genre to bring the Need For Speed series to the next stage.” The job listing states, “We are seeking an experienced World Artist who can help us in our exciting new venture to create an authentic open world that offers the player an immersive and fast experience.”

It’s not shocking that this game will have an urban theme, as ComicBook noted, but the team wants someone who has “an appreciation of architecture, visual design, or urban planning.” This is a confirmation if you ask me. The game’s reveal sounds a long way away.
