Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 was confirmed accidentally thanks to an energy drink advertisement
The Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 3 logo and artwork have been apparently leaked through a Monster Energy partnership.
Energy drinks and video games go together. That’s why brands such as Rockstar Energy and Monster Energy are always partnering with the latest titles, and often offering some kind of in-game bonus for those who buy the drink.
Call Of Duty has been involved in many collaborations. The next big release of the series, Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 3 was leaked on a Monster Energy pack.
A tweet from @charlieINTEL drew the attention of many to this leak. The image shared was of Monster’s newest packaging. It featured artwork for Captain Price and a logo of Modern Warfare 3.
The new logo is not very informative, but the blood-red color looks nice. It’s a change from the Modern Warfare 2 green. Could it be that the red represents the violence and destruction we will see in this game? It’s interesting to speculate, but I am definitely grasping at straws.
The collaboration is not just about some nice cardboard. There will also be bonus unlockables, as you can see in the pictures. The text of the promotional offer is missing, so it’s impossible to know exactly what it will be. However, if you were to guess, it would likely include cosmetic skins or bonus XP in online matches.
The official Call Of Duty Twitter account tweeted “Whew.” Mondays. “Does anyone have any energy drinks they could spare?”
Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 3 will launch on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC at the end of the year. It is likely to be revealed officially in the coming weeks following a marketing campaign.
