Ubisoft is busy right now. They have a number of Assassin’s Creed games in development, as well as Star Wars Outlaws, Beyond Good and Evil, and Skull and Bones.

Tom Henderson, a prominent insider in the games industry, has claimed that a Ghost Recon sequel is currently being developed. The last Ghost Recon game to be released was Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint in 2019. It received lukewarm reviews, so there’s been some time (although it may have worked out better).

Henderson posted this on Twitter: “Ubisoft is working hard to bring you a number of great games.” There are a lot of great games out there, like AC Red (Far Cry 7), Project Over(Ghost Recon), etc. But games like [ Skull and Bones] and[ beyond Good and Evil II] need to be removed ASAP. “Too many resources are spent.”

Henderson is not the first to mention a Ghost Recon sequel. He said earlier this year that was “predicted for around 2025”. This is a long time to wait if this information is accurate. Ubisoft should be able to refine the game enough in this time to avoid making any mistakes as it did with Ghost Recon: Breakpoint.

Ubisoft has not confirmed these claims as of the date of this article, so for now, take them lightly.
