Since Tears of the Kingdom was released, Legend of Zelda players have made some amazing creations using fuse mechanics.

The modding community has already produced a number of cool add-ons. However, the fact that most of these builds can be put together using items that are already present in the game is perhaps the most impressive.

One group of highly-skilled hackers is now raced their best vehicle build all around Hyrule. Meanwhile, two of their colleagues have used their creativity to create contraptions David Attenborough might dig.

You can build mechanical creatures in Zelda Tears Of The Kingdom.

In addition to the impressive cars and aircraft which have been common in recent months, there have also recently started appearing a variety of animal-inspired designs on the Hyrule Engineering Subreddit.

The “wholly unpractical whale contraption”, created by user Katasan84, is an example of a trend that appears to be on the rise. The clip that they posted shows how well the whale contraption mimics the movements of fish. It is propelled by fins and railings.

Katasan84 revealed that it was necessary to use a zoom lens to get the full size. It has also been compared to a shark by some of the engineers.

The user nikorabbit also made a clever bird that could drink water from a stream. A large fire was used to push the attached balloon upwards and cause its head to dip while it rotated. Unfortunately, the beak is still too short to reach water.

The Hylian community is so talented that it’s likely we will see someone build an entire animal zoo in the near future.

No matter what you have been up to lately in Tears Of The Kingdom, be sure to check out our guides to help you on your journeys in Hyrule. We’ll show you where to locate the Gerudo secret shop and how to grab a Hylian Shield.
