The recent announcement of the Red Dead Redemption remake was made worse by a fan-made screenshot.

Rockstar Games crushed yesterday the dreams and hopes of Red Dead Redemption enthusiasts when they announced that the first Red Dead Redemption game will be ported for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 at the end of this month.

Many leaders have claimed that the engine would be similar to Red Dead Redemption 2.

The rumors seemed too good to be true. Instead, we received a basic port, with no upgrades, and no multiplayer.

Many have criticized Rockstar for the laziness of their port, but others are left wondering what might have been. Reddit user, tamborzd shared a post saying “I didn’t want to get my hopes up… but I really wanted it” with a screenshot from one of the biggest moments in the original game.

This screenshot shows exactly what would be nice to see. The first game should have been remastered with the same graphic fidelity as the second. It fits well into the timeline.

Commenters agreed that Rockstar should have made an extra effort to bring the original game into the modern age since so many players will only have played Red Dead Redemption II and may have missed the first one.

It was just too good to be true” “It was too good to true”

They’re not even going to remaster the graphics? we had too much goddamn faith, i guess”

They just need a little goddamned time, then they will release a remake.

Rockstar might give the R Dead Redemption remake that it deserves after the release of Grand Theft Auto VI.

On August 17, the Red Dead Redemption remake will be released for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
