Baldur’s Gate 3 adds yet another bizarre romance option to its list. This time it’s even stranger than the bear that you can boink.

Baldur’s Gate III has been a hit with players since its release on PC.

Xbox will have to wait indefinitely because of technical difficulties.

It dominated the charts despite its temporary exclusivity. Overtaking Zelda’s Tears of the Kingdom, the game was the most-rated of 2023. Hogwarts Legacy had to compete with it in terms of concurrent Steam users.

This is an RPG that’s unlike any other. It’s not just the customization options or dialogue options. The romanceable characters are what everyone’s talking about. Traveling through the world, you meet a variety of worthy partners, from animals to normal people. Now, eldritch horrors are among them.

If you are open-minded, and you don’t mind putting in the effort, then you could romance these squidlike Mind Flayers. If tentacles and power are your style, the Mind Flayers will be a strange being. The Mind Flayers are encountered at the end of Act Two. They react hilariously when you try to romance them. You’re presented with several choices, including hugging them. They’re clearly starving for affection, so if they do that, then you are on your way to having it on.

Baldur’s Gate 3 is not surprised by this. We’re not going to judge, but maybe we will.

If bizarre romances in Baldur’s Gate 3 have you intrigued, the game is available now on PC and it will be released on PS5 later this year.
