Starfield has officially gone gold and all the hype is true

It’s happening. It’s happening. Bethesda has said the magic two words we have all been waiting for. That’s right. Starfield has gone gold. Cue excited screams.

Starfield will be a contender for GOTY if Bethesda delivers on all its promises. It’s not surprising that the game has an astonishing number of side missions. The game has a variety of branching routes and factions that you can join.

I wonder how long it will take to complete the main campaign. Todd Howard confirmed the campaign should take between 30 and 40 hours, which is an acceptable length. Bethesda released an exciting new teaser earlier this week as the release date of Starfield approached. Now we are certain that Starfield will not be delayed any longer. It has gone gold.

Bethesda announced the news on Twitter by writing “Prepare to launch.” Starfield is now gold! S and Windows PC and August 30 for Steam.” Yep, that’s right. The pre-download dates are also confirmed, so all Xbox users should be up and running bright and early on Monday to start this game. PC users will be able to get involved on 30 August.

One Starfield developer assured us earlier this week that we shouldn’t worry when fans asked why the game had not gone gold. We’ve all lost patience with the countdown to release, which is understandable after waiting so long for this game.

Remember that Starfield is going to be available on Xbox Game Pass from the first day. You can upgrade your Digital Deluxe Edition to get five extra days of early access.
