Call of Duty Modern Warfare III beta dates confirmed
Call of Duty has had a very busy week. The Gamescom Opening Night Live on Tuesday was devoted to Modern Warfare III. We got a detailed look at this upcoming game.
almost 10 minutes of gameplay was shown to us. It featured all the classic elements you would expect to find in a Call of Duty title: stealthy sneaking and special-ops missions, as well as taking out guards or infiltrating prisons. Modern Warfare III will also introduce open-combat mission which allows players to decide how to progress through the missions. We didn’t get to see any Zombies, but we know that a new open-world Zombies game is on the way at a Call of Duty showcase scheduled for 5 October.
There’s good news for you if you want to jump into Modern Warfare III. The beta dates are here. The beta date is for Modern Warfare III multiplayer, and the launch of the beta will follow the showcase on 5 October. In addition to Ground War, the beta will feature a variety of maps including modernized Modern Warfare 2 classics. The confirmed map lineup is not yet known.
The first beta starts on Friday, October 6, at 6 pm (BST) / 10:00 am (PT), and runs until Tuesday, October 10, 6 pm. But there is a catch. Only those who have pre-ordered can play between the 6th and 7th of October. From 8-10 October, all PlayStation users will have access to the game.
The next opening will be from Friday 13th October until Thursday 12th October. All PlayStation and Xbox players, as well as those who pre-ordered a game on PC or Xbox. The same start and finish times apply. The beta will be fully available between Monday 16th October and Saturday 14th October.
