Need for Speed Payback is an action-oriented racing game created by Ghost Games and published by Electronic Arts for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The game is designed around “action driving” and has three players (each having a different set of abilities) that work in tandem to create action film similar sequences.
Contrary to the prior game, this one also has an all-day, nighttime cycle. In contrast to that of the previous Need for Speed reboot, Payback also features an offline single-player mode. Need to Speed Payback has 74 cars (81 that have downloadable content) and all of the 2015 reboot’s manufacturers, except Toyota (including Scion) Scion brand) as well as Ferrari which are returning.
The two brands mentioned previously don’t appear in the game because of licensing concerns. Aston Martin, Audi, Buick, Jaguar, Koenigsegg, Land Rover, Mercury, Mini, Pagani, and Plymouth are back following their demise from the last installment as do Alfa Romeo, Infiniti, Mini, and Pontiac are added as downloadable content.
